Not very long maybe less then 5 minutes I think ninja would have a good time on this already. The coffee maker does seem to make the coffee taste better then one of its competitors had a competitor I bought before the Ninja but went bad in less then a month so bought the Ninja Kinda sad went to take that pot back gave me a difficult time in returning it My previous coffee pot lasted 9 years. At that time it had some charcoal filter options I liked but guess no one does it now I think that cone filter design helps make the coffee taste better an I put less coffee grounds in it to achieve the same strength. I also like the remote tank to fill it the pot I returned did not have much room to pour the water in and was difficult to do. Well that is it. I will get a second Ninja for my other home .
