“When the timer goes off, does the temperature setting also turn off? Our current toaster oven does that, so if I have to leave it in for add'l cook time, I have to reset the timer AND temperature each time. Thank you.”

Your settings are retained. When you turn the unit back on the time and temperature are the same as previously set.
