Normally not needed if you wait for the pressure to cool down. If you are in hurry to open after pressure, you can release the pressure valve and use a large spoon to cover so that the ceiling does not get damaged in case of low ceilings

It has one, you can use a spoon to open it, shouldn't be a problem.
