• Yes. The wire rack stays in pretty much all the time. The sheet pan will not Stay the correct position without it.

• Yes you would use the wired rack as well. When you airfry you want to place the basket on the sheet pan before you place it in the oven. You will slide the sheet pan and basket on the the wire rack.
