The Ninja Toaster Oven will be hot to the touch on the exterior, however, it should not radiate a lot of heat. The recommended temperature for dehydrating fruit will depend on the fruit you are dehydrating and your desired doneness. The temperatures will range from 105F to 195F.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.only slightly more than a toaster oven would... the biggest advantage is that it preheats in less than a minute in most cases. That alone would prevent you from heating up your house much. The oven comes with a cookbook of sorts that has pretty good times for cooking/dehydrating. BE FOREWARNED: NOT ALL THE TRAYS ARE MACHINE WASHABLE. I found this to be the biggest inconvenience of this device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The oven does get hot to the touch. It doesn't heat up the kitchen. I haven't used the dehydrating feature yet.. I like and use the oven often.
