When I used my Ninja foodi for the first time I cooked a chicken initially in the pressure cooker with water and seasoning in the bottom of the pot. I left the diffuser on, and a message came up WATER. so I took a look and it was burnt at the bottom of the pot and burnt black covered the bottom of the diffuser. I removed the chicken, washed out the pot , then put clean water in it and put the chicken back into the basket WITHOUT the diffuser, it cooked perfectly then. I then put the diffuser back onto the crisper basket o cook the chicken in the air fryer to brown it up.

My question is a little more specific... please answer. I am cooking the roast and HSI g the diffuser and I am getting a strong plastic smell.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, We are happy to assist you with your inquiry regarding the Ninja - Foodi™ with Tendercrisp™ 6.5 Quart Multi-Cooker. We recommend using the diffuser on the Cook & Crisp™ Basket when the recipe requests it to be used. When using the Air Crisp function, we recommend using the Cook & Crisp™ Basket also. We hope this information helps. The Customer Support Team
