• Hello bubba, We are happy to assist you with your inquiry about the Ninja - Foodi™ with Tendercrisp™ 6.5 Quart Multi-Cooker. When the machine says water, it requires more water to build pressure. It could also be that the pressure release valve is not in the Seal position. Make sure the silicone ring is installed correctly. We hope this information helps. The Customer Support Team

• You always need to add at least 1 cup of water to pressure cook anything
