• I’m told people do but I never have. No need to. The cooking surface is non stick coated never sticks and easy clean up

• Parchment, yes. Foil, I'd say no. Manufacturers are now saying NOT lay foil on the bottom of the oven so its better to be safe than sorry. Special silicone "mats" are available to aid in easier cleanup.
