Would this be considered a food processor? null

Yes and no. The smaller bowl can be used for some food processor functions but you don't have the assortment of blades of the feeder you would have on a traditional food processor. After purchasing this model I contacted ninja and they sold me a more traditional food processor with feeder and blades that works with base. Works great.

The description states that it can be used as a food processor and it includes a seperate bowl for that, however, it does not chop, grate, or slice. The food processing bowl that has these capabilities is not available as an attachment for this model. You can purchase a more expensive model that does include it.

Well partially I guess. We returned it for the model with the spiralizer
