• No it does not. The grip has a usb c port for charging if needed while the system is on

• Not really, no. The batteries are in the joy-cons themselves, and this has a USB-C port where you can charge those batteries through it.

• No, the grip will not have a battery. It just has a USB-C port at the top which allows any connected Joy-Con to charge.

• No. It just has USB-C passthrough to charge the Joy Con 2 while in the grip. The grip does have GL and GR buttons on the handles that you can remap to any other button on the Joy Cons while they're in the grip, giving more control options.
