• Yes. All official Nintendo controllers that are not wired will work with the Switch Lite, including the Pro Controller and any joy con of your choosing. Third party may or may not work, depends.

• They are, if you’re wanting to play games that need or use motion controls. The system itself, if it’s used with Joycons, it would be recommended to stand it on a stand or some sort of leaning surface, but it’s best enjoyed on a larger display.
