Asked by heime2003.
- A:Answer The microSD Express is a new technology that has not been widely adopted. Samsung only started selling those in 2024 and the Nintendo version only comes in 256 GB. SamDisk has a 512GB version. Up until now there was no market for these. Few devices accept the speeds of these, and because of a change in pins, in devices that do not read them it is instead read as a UHS-I, meaning that in those devices it is slower than a UHS-II or UHS-III while being more expensive. So, since not a lot of products accept the Express cards, few users would want these. That will probably change now that Switch 2 created a market for them.

Q: QuestionHow many switch 2 games like cyberpunk and other games that take that same amount of storage or around could fit on this 256gb micro sd express card?
Asked by Jacob.
- A:Answer File sizes vary. I would hypothesize that a 256 gb microSD EDC could hold around 4 or 5 titles depending on the size of each game save file. I have a 256 gb EDC and I have NBA 2K26, SF6, HITMAN WOA, Fortnite, MKW, SWO, DBXV2, Starlink, and SSBU. 2K, SF6, HWOA, and Fortnite are the biggest ones with 2K being the biggest (72.7 GB). So it would really depend on each size of th game save files.
