I did the same thing. I found out by watching a YouTube that I missed a important step of set up. If your model is anything like mine, the power supply is not hooked up when you buy it, you have to hook it up yourself. In the handle bars area there are screws that screw the handle bars wracking on. Unscrew the handle bars again and take a look inside the piping, there should be a cord with a end piece coming out of the main body and than one wire piece coming out from the handle bars piece. Connect these two wires and the power source is now activated. I hope this helps.
