Q: QuestionI am a senior and learning. What does UNLOCKED mean?

Asked 2 years ago by subman.

• A:Answer "Unlocked" means that this phone is not dedicated to use a specific mobile service provider such as Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, etc. For the phone to work you must purchase a SIM card from any one of many mobile phone service providers. An "unlocked" phone means that you have complete freedom to choose the mobile service that offers you the best 'deal' and/or the best service solution for your needs.

Q: QuestionDoes this phone have internet accessibly or anything to do with the internet or wifi?

Asked 2 years ago by Mom84.

• A:Answer It can make and receive calls via the internet or wifi just like the more expensive cell phone. However, it can not do many of the more advanced applications like Maps, etc. My husband refuses to learn how to do anything except make and answer calls, so it is perfect for him. There is a charge through your carrier (mine is Verizon) but it is somewhat less than a real 'smart' cellphone.
