Yes, it will update to Android 9 Pie as soon as you set it up. It was quick and easy. Note, Pie does not allow you to delete the Google Search Bar on home screens.

Yes it does. Best Buy lists the specs of the phone when it's first released and leaves it like that. This phone WILL get Android Q in Fall 2019.

yes, it updated automatically because it has the Android one meaning it has ongoing android update for a few years to come.
