Is the AirPod case for the new AirPods? null

No it for first series AirPods. They have a case for the second ones too. They are still working on AirPods pro case.

They will work with the GEN 1 and 2, but not the AirPod PRO.

They will fit the GEN 2 AirPods, but. not the AirPod Pro.
