There is a way to currently do this. The underlying system actually runs a version of Android and there are YouTube videos showing how to get to “Privelege Mode” which gets you out of the Ifit screen and gives you control to install apps. I can’t say whether this will always work if system updates get applied or if the app providers stop allowing the load of apps on this device but today the capability exists to install Netflix, Amazon Prime and other apps. I don’t know however if you can run both iFit and other apps simultaneously in one window watching the movie and at the same time tracking/watching your fitness haven’t tried that yet

You can listen to your favorite workout music or audio books with the sound system by plugging in your device with a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) or through a bluetooth connection.
