It is -really- heavy and hard to move. I have mine backed up to a wall and there's really no way to save any more space. Most of the space you need is for doing the exercises.

Please try again later.I had the same question and it isn't addressed in the instructions manual, but you can move it around to any area you choose to use it in as long as you avoid safety areas (water, etc.). Just make sure you remove some of the weights if it's too heavy for you to move, for safety reasons. I actually moved it a couple times with no problem.
