This product works great under 110 volts. If you want to use in Germany you have to get a voltage converter. Using voltage converter may decrease its life span. I am not sure if they can ship to Germany.

That is true of any kind of electrical appliance or consumer electronics like a laptop. The good news is that they are easy to get, reliable, safe, small and relatively cheap ($10 - $15).
