A:AnswerSupply and Demand and profits. Demand is high, they COULD make more, but when supply is low, and demand is high, they can charge exorbitant prices because oh well. Being able to charge 2X what a card is worth is fantastic for profits.
A:AnswerIt's first come first serve on the site or in store when stock is available. Best Buy doesn't allow pre orders or a wait list for this product. Buying the FE cards online normally requires an in store or curb side pickup.
A:AnswerCorrect. Their were as far as we all know no legitimate sales to customers. But even if Scalpers got 99% of the cards and with how rare people leave reviews that makes since if 1% don't leave one.
A:Answerbecause that would take away the increase in site traffic that having to constantly come back causes.
All a waitlist would do is show us about how long we would have to wait which would make site traffic lower and really only benefit the scalpers selling cards on the 2ndary market. More people would probably buy from scalpers if they knew just how long they had to wait and we(gamers/content creators) want as few people buying from scalpers as possible so it's no longer profitable for most to buy up all the inventory away from normal consumers.
A:Answer12900k is more than enough especially if you're gaming at 4k resolution, which is an entirely GPU bound scenario. Check attached image, you could go down 2 generations in CPU and not notice any intelligible difference while playing at 4k. And if you're not playing at 4k, why bother with a 4090 anyway?
A:AnswerThese shortages are made by Nvidia. They have plenty of cards in stock according to all the reports and manufacturing numbers. They are deliberately holding back cards. For the 30 series it was totally a supply problem. Now it is all fake and they are creating a supply problem.
