You want me to book a flight to another state just to have the chance of buying one in person? Online sales are a MUST! Just implement a waiting list like evga used to have!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Something certainly has to be done by ALL resellers, but MicroCenter already makes high end GPU's only available by in store pickup (actually, lots of other items are only in store). You can order only but then have to pick up most items. I think there needs to be a one per customer, in person or online from all resellers. I.D. ME log in should also be mandatory. That alone would majorly deter most bots if not all since the scalper couldn't hide their identity or be forced to steal someone elses which would prevent scalping since the majority of scalpers do it because it's not illegal, but stealing ones identity is, not to mention you must have a cell phone to verify each log in that's associated with the actual YOU, thus making it the safest way I can think of. Always do the surveys when you register a product at companies like ASUS, and no matter the product, write comments whenever possible in those surveys to tell them that they need to implement some form of Scalping deterrent. Those who pull up surveys are higher up the decision and marketing chain.
