No . You will need a Cellphone and access to a non captive Wifi. (WIFI that doesn't require you to sign in through a website) . Wifi Is primarily used to download or share experience with other users . Once a game is loaded it should be usable without wifi . (My go unit wasn't functional long enough for me to get all the details but I suspect this statement to be true) .
