Hello The oculus works by itself. Download the Oculus App on your mobile device. Wirelessly connect your headset and phone to configure and start playing in VR.

Also they are coming out with an update so that you can plug the headset into a VR compatible computer if you want to. I don’t plan on doing that the device is amazing as it is .

It’s a complete wireless experience. You just need to download the oculus app to you android phone or iPhone for the initial set up. Even then you don’t need to hook up anything.
