TOTALLY A MAY ZING! I am a tech enthusiast, who has owned and played with the Samsung Galaxy phone based Gear VR since its launch a few years ago. It was "okay", but limited in quality and performance. Earlier phones would often get overheated, with the audio and video cutting out of stuttering. Playing within VR on a phone was occasionally interrupted by email notifications and calls, it only supported a single controller, and the battery would run down quickly. It tied up my phone when others wanted to play ...it just wasn't an optimal experience. I considered upgrading to a standalone Oculus Go, but it still only supported a single controller, which really limited game options such as Beat Saber, etc. Then came Oculus Quest, I bought one for the family, and ...WOW! I can barely contain my enthusiasm! First, let's address the elephant in the room. It's not cheap. Cheap will get you a cardboard box, or the slightly better plastic phone-based VR headset (the best of these is Gear VR). This is immersive with six degrees of motion. The included (dual) touch controllers provide ample options to navigate the virtual environments and manipulate objects. The sound is projected near your ears, and sounds will move as you move, providing the user turn an ever more increased encompassing experience. ...there are standard 3.5mm headphone jacks on either side of the HMD for those who seek auditory privacy over realism. I like that you can set up a virtual boundary in your VR space, so as to not damage your surroundings or injury yourself. You set up a perimeter, and it warns you with a virtual wall/grid when you touch upon the limit of your safe area. I was originally considering the purchase of a floor-standing heavy-bag, to workout and fight off anxiety, but the up buying the 128GB Oculus Quest in the hope that it would serve as a tool, to help envelope and engage the senses of family members suffering from high bouts of anxiety, as well as seasonal depression. I am pleased to state that once the Oculus Quest is donned, and the virtual world is entered, runaway thoughts from the outside are pushed away for awhile. Games which engage, sight, sound and moment help to redirect anxious thoughts, forcing them to focus on the experience. Yes it is expensive, but it is SO worth it. It is far more versatile than a simple floor-standing heavy-bag (yes there are boxing games, and so much more), it also takes up far less space and is far more portable than a heavy bag. ;-) I highly recommend that those interested, seek out a location with a demo unit and experience it for yourself.

Always wanted to build my own VR gaming pc but after doing the math for the VR pc and VR headset it was cost prohibited. Once oculus announced the Quest I decided ,let me try it and boom the quest is awesome no wires to get tangle. Immersion is pretty good and games look awesome. Specially beat saber on 360 and Super Hot once you try them wired headsets will feel antiquated.

My wife was going to purchase the OQ for my birthday early July but decided against it with the cost and travel plans. Well after some research and a few nights of pillow talk she came home with it last night! Holy crap this system is so much fun. We completely ruined our weekend plans at the beach and have spent hours playing, lol A few tips, learn how to side load apps, it will help you get started without spending a great deal on games upfront. Eventually you’ll want the better paid games though. We purchased Beat $aber and side loaded a ton of extra songs, my wife and daughter love that game, I love the immersive features like YouTube VR. If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it. So far it’s a hit at the house and I look forward to having friends and family try it out. *note regarding the photo’s. I tie strapped a battery pack to the back strap. Not only does it keep the battery charged while playing it also helps balance out the weight.

Amazing piece of electronics! Recommend to anyone who can't afford or don't have a good enough PC to run a rift. Only drawback is the library of titles is still weak. Also I added a battery pack to back strap to help counter balance the front weight of the quest.

I ordered the Oculus Quest 128 K. It arrived within the week. Easy to set up. All 4 of my grandkids are trilled with VR games. They like the multiplayers in Scramble Sports. Their favorite game is Beat Saber. The VR headset is comfortable and the controllers work perfectly. I recommend it to any gamer that wants to be inside the game experience.

This is the first step into wireless vr. The way vr should be. Well done for generation 1 wireless vr. The future of gaming will be awesome!! Better than I expected for a completely wireless system!!

I love everything about the Quest. I did have to knock a few stars off though: -1 for not including a link cable. -1 for not having recharge battery packs for the controllers. -1 for not having the 64GB in stock (128 is fine, but overkill for my usage) -2 for comfort ... To keep it in place while in use, it needs to be pretty snug, and the padding just isn't thick enough to allow for that. Even with -5 stars from my total ... I still give it 5 stars out of 5. It really is worth the price. As I've told everyone that has asked, "Best $500 I *ever* spent on myself."

Pros: Excellent graphics, wireless, lightweight Cons: several of my games from Oculus Rift will not transfer over for free, the Oculus Quest store selection is still small compared to the Rift

The Oculus Quest removes the complexity of PC-based VR gaming, yet leaves that door open to you for future expansion. It also overcomes the limitations of "phone on your face" VR solutions like GearVR, cardboard and other Android VR platforms. The reason these are always sold out is they are for VR what the Switch was to consoles. Instead of focusing on raw performance numbers, they focused on experience and the result is a well-made, easy to use and expandable entry in the VR race for supremacy. Best VR I have ever seen. Everything in the VR seems soo real. You don't need computer/cables. Just plug in and go. I would highly recommend oculus quest to everyone.

I love this oculus headset. No need for wires or a PC. All the features and interface are well-throughout. Only suggestion is a better face mask/headset strap. It is heavy when strapped to your head and can give you a headache after wearing it for some time. The battery fully charged lasts about 3-5hrs depending on the activity (game vs streaming) and if you are streaming (chromecast). Some aftermarket accessories for the headset and a carrying case are a must.

I was a retired gamer until I tried one of the Demo units at a best buy store. I order one right on the spot. I was amazed by the VR experience. I was skeptical about great comments I heard from friends, but now i am a true believer on the awesome entertainment power of this headset. A recently released update has made it capable of playing higher resolution games from the rift collection, how cool is that! Don’t think about it anymore, buy it you won’t regret it. Need more reasons, I introduced a some coworkers to Quest, all order one with no hesitation, they were all WOWED!

After reading and watching many many reviews on the best VR headset, Oculus Quest came out on top. I couldn't agree with them more! I am a teacher who loves to learn and experience cutting edge technology and the Oculus Quest is just that, consumer state-of-the-art technology! And, of course I'm enjoying puzzle games like Red Matter and Moss, and sports like Scrambled Sports. I highly recommend this all-in-one VR headset.

My son loves this! Best expensive purchase I’ve made for him in a while! He plays with friends and watches movies.. soon I’m gonna use it to do virtual workouts! I can’t wait! He keeps it handy and in sight at all times.. his go to toy! It’s also worth it to buy the storage case as well.

I owned a PSVR for a 1 1/2 years and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread until I got the Quest a few days ago. It blows the PSVR out if the water.

My sons birthday gift may 13 th ! He said the best gift ever especially being on quarantine he loves it... his dad n him take turns lol best purchase ever at first it wouldn’t turn on then I found a review and somebody wrote hold it down for 30 seconds n if that doesn’t work hold the power button and volume button for 30 seconds it worked ! There is no support number but an email in which they did contact me within les then 24 hours but problem was solved... great product!

There are no cords! No strings attached. You can unplug and play as long as WiFi has you covered! It’s sooo real! The head piece straps are easy to adjust. The visual is super clean and clear. The audio is awesome and has an earbud option! Can’t say enough good things about this set!
