My twins and I love this VR system. I wish the battery life was longer only because it's 3 of us using it. On the other hand I can live with that though because it forces them to stop playing and take a break. The games look amazing and life like. I suffer from motion sickness so I cannot play any games with rollercoasters or with no gravity because I will actually get nauseous. I like that I can watch Netflix and other movies and shows.

As a day one Playstation VR purchaser and a long term Oculus Rift owner I couldn't but help dip into the wonderful world of the Oculus Quest. I've been following its development and teased release date for over a year ('Santa Cruz' was the original product name while in development). The Quest was certainly worth its wait, it's a revolutionary product which hopefully will bring VR to the mainstream. I had concerns about the Snapdragon processor since it's the same processor that Samsung used in their S8 cell phone - but my worries were eased within just a few minutes of powering on the device. No, it won't run Skyrim or any of the top tier AAA PC titles but it more than makes up for this with its portability factor. The graphics (despite the weaker processor) are surprisingly comparable to a top tier PC, there's been a LOT of optimization on this device. No wires, no waiting, no drivers, no external trackers. Simply power it on and you're there. There? Anywhere. I've taken my Quest on tours, to work, to other rooms.. anywhere I choose. The battery life isn't fantastic (2-3 hours at the most) but for a revolutionary product like this, it's very impressive. It's a conversation starter, it's turning heads. It's also incredibly contagious! If you try one, you'll want one. Even non-gamers are getting on-board with this marvelous device. It also doubles up as an exercise device (Beat Saber will have you losing pounds in days) and a communication platform (Big Screen, VR Chat with more to come). I consider myself a VR veteran and this is already my 'go to' choice for VR. If you have any doubts simply go to your local electronics retailer and ask for a demonstration. No regrets.

Originally bought for the new Half Life game. It wasn’t until I got it home and did more research that I realized that I won’t be able to play it...and I’m ok with that! The games (paid/free) have kept me pretty entertained and amazed with how far VR has come. I have a small collection of action, rhythm, and workout apps that have been worth every penny. In addition, messing around with Youtube VR and being transported somewhere else has been pretty awesome since traveling during this pandemic has been limited. The biggest test has been my wife. She was mad when I originally said I was going to buy it stating it was a waste of money. She thought it was going to be like those smartphone VR headsets. To date, she has put in as many hours as me and has stated that she wanted to buy another one cause she didn’t want to have to wait for her turn. It was a good idea at first until I read that one account can’t be used across multiple headsets (meaning I have to buy the game twice on separate accounts for multiplayer games) Only issue I have is sweating during workouts (or high intensity games). I ended up having to buy a silicone cover to use when I know I’m going to sweat. Makes cleaning easy. Other than that no real cons. Overall, extremely happy with my purchase and highly recommend.

This was my families first VR set. Everyone loves it and enjoys the wireless use. I’ve played other wired VR’s but this being a all in one kit and only needing a cell phone to set up the app was great and easy. I was surprised at the amount of free games to get you started and the quality of the headset. Over all it was a good purchase and would buy again.

i love this VR set. went with the 128 gig cause it was in stock and always regret when i buy things with the lesser storage space and wishing i had more. first why a 4 star. they market this as a stand alone headset which is great. but i feel they could have provided a case for it. the battery dies fast if you are playing games with it as well. and nothing for your feet or legs. reason for legs would be nice to get a VR drum set for instance. and lack of games at moment. something that is kinda a pro and a con, you can connect this to a pc as well. but at the moment not the best. the provided cable kinda worked for me but was laggy. i got another cable that they sell (very pricy though) and it worked way better. still a little lag at times though. this allows you to also get rift games and play as well as steam games. it did take a little bit of work to get it working though, and especially if you want it wireless. but its a start and hopefully will get better. like i said above about lack of games. this opens it up a bit more. but because the games are meant for the rift, they are a little laggy. i am not to sure why other then maybe the headset is still trying to use its own software and hardware instead of using the pc? outside of that though. its a lot of fun. games work great for the ones that are for this headset. cord it came with is a decent length. you can also buy longer cords for it. its different for sure. i was impressed with using it. its a workout with some games for sure. if you want a stand alone VR set, this one i suggest getting. i love that i can go to a buddies house and bring this along and not have to have a pc. if you are a casual gamer, i also suggest this. i have a decent laptop that is VR ready and got that set up so i can play other games from steam as well. this allows me to easily be able to take the headset with the laptop and get the best of both worlds. but like i said, you might get some lag and what not when playing steam games. i have mainly played a bingo game so its a simple game and it runs well. if you are wanting this mainly to play games from your pc, then there are better headsets out there for that purpose that i believe use your pc hardware to get a better more fluid experience. but that may be something that can change in the future. not sure if that can be a update to the device, hope so. but at least this headset, man does everything feel a lot more realistic.

It's been a bit over a week since the Oculus Quest arrived at my doorstep, and I feel that I've had enough time and experience with it to form a worthwhile opinion. The Quest is great, very great, very very great if you're the sort of crazy VR enthusiast who has no problem with spending half a grand for what is basically a souped up Viewmaster. Okay, that was harsh. Actually, it's likely that the first time you put on this headset, and see a UI that isn't just glued to the glass of your screen, but actually feels like it has presence in the world in front of you, you will be amazed. For me, the only reason I decided that I would get a Quest is because of a VR roller coaster that used the Oculus Go. When I put on that headset for the first time and saw the permanence of the virtual world around me, I knew that I would eventually buy a VR headset. That time has come. Still, I cannot fully recommend the Oculus Quest, because while it does come close to realizing the VR Sci-fi fantasy, a few little problems add up to drag you out of your immersion. For one, the headset is really heavy. I wouldn't consider myself particularly waifish, but if you wear this headset for an extended period of time, it will bear down upon you and force you to take a break from using it. Secondly, the viewing angles aren't quite there yet either. I wear glasses, but even when I take them off and put the headset on without the spacer installed, I can't not notice the darkness at the periphery of my view. It's like you're staring through a set of binoculars or through a porthole. Although I'm told that the battery life for the Quest isn't very long, although it's rendered moot by me not being able to go more than 2 or 3 hours without having to take the thing off. Is it just the weight or is it added motion sickness? I can' tell for sure. Regardless, as much as I want to give the Oculus Quest five stars, I can't. A few years from now Oculus or another company will bring out another standalone headset that will be lighter, have a wider FOV and have higher refresh rates, resolution, graphics etc. For people who want to wait until VR is absolutely perfect, the Quest isn't it. For people who want something that's just good enough? Something that will be looked back on for how primitive it was decades from now? For people who want to get in on the ground floor and ride the VR wave all the way up to full immersion VR? Sure, the Quest is a great entry point.

The first truly wireless system that offers a fantastic entry into the world of VR that won't break the bank. Highly portable and no wires anywhere! While it doesn't have the horsepower that a dedicated PC VR system can deliver, as a self contained and fully portable device, the Quest is ground breaking. Excellent design, and brings true VR capability to everyone.

This headset is great, had to grab 128 go instead of 64 go just cause it’s the only one that I was able to grab, more stock would be great as everyone should be able to get one, the family loves it, the screen door effect is minimal and once you get immersed in what you’re doing you don’t notice it at all, the casting is horrible and really wanted this to be better, but it glitches and doesn’t connect to the sources you want to , just have to keep trying until it does, online says doesn’t work with some chrome cast built in tvs, got it to find and connect to mine once but then never again , really hope this gets updated, controllers are great but do run off 1 AA each , comes with batteries but after a week or two they died, with the were rechargeable , maybe there’s something after market , I also purchased some cables to hook to gaming laptop so could try out other brands games, but there’s plenty to play around for free, oculus store seems great and they do have some sales, only have bought Vader immortal episode I and beat saber so far, they play great!!

Have been using Vive for ~ 3 yrs - tethered to my computer and very heavy and sweat-inducing. The Oculus is lite, wireless and AWESOME! Great built-in sound, exceptional graphics quality and large storage space. Simple interface and the hand controls are MUCH better than the Vive in weight and functionality.

This is what VR is supposed to be about. A wireless VR experience with graphics and sounds that makes you feel like you're there because you can see, hear, and walk around. Between the games and YouTube VR, it puts the user in places never before imagined. The experience will continue to only get better.

Before purchasing this product, my experience with VR was about only 2 hours. But that is all it took. 2 hours of play with one beforehand was enough convincing for me to purchase one. I did my research and came to the conclusion that the Quest was going to best suit my needs. I did not want to stay plugged into a PC all day to play, and with all the tech being inside the headset, it was an easy choice to make. VR makes you feel like your there. The games are fun and have many available to choose from. The stand alone tech is pretty rad too. I've almost convinced my roommate to get one as well so we can play in different rooms together at the same time. Best purchase of the year so far. The resolution could be better, but tech is still advancing. Battery life could last a little longer as well. Overall, 9/10. Almost perfect.

I tried one of these and i was hooked. I am not a gamer, definitely older, but love this thing. Fun games and a fun way to get a work out with games like Beat Saver and Synth Riders. Fun to travel the world from your home. You feel like you are in the room wherever you are, and that if there is a cliff or drop off, that you want to stay back from it. I like that it is not tethered. I've used it while plugged in when I let the battery run down, but not near as good as when completely untethered. it is a great way to take your mind off things and burn calories. I've lost weight using it. But plenty of non-calorie burning apps. if you ever try one, you'll want one. I used my son's for about 3 months before I had to have one since he has his own place now.

This is the best option for anyone wanting to dip their toes into the VR world. I've used the much more expensive Vive & Vive Pro VR and I can say this product is almost as good but for a much less price point! Pros: - Video resolution (quality) is very good. I could not distinguish a different from much more expensive Gamer PC based models. - No wires! Because it is fully self-contained unit, there are no wires needed while playing. I can say enough how much better a playing experience is when you don't have to worry about cables from headset to PC getting in your way. - Price point is fantastic compared to similar "wireless" setup with a Gaming PC. - No room sensors needed. Again most high quality VR systems today require at least two sensors that have to be mounted in the corners of your play area. This product does not require that as the sensors are built into the headset itself! - Good quality games in their game store. - While battery life is between 2 - 3 hrs (in my experience), you can play with it connected to power cord for longer. (This of course negates the "no wires" pro above while you are powering it.) - Built in speakers provide excellent spacial audio. No headphones needed! If you want more privacy you can plug-in any headset with a standard audio jack. (Actually has two jacks, one on either side of headset.) - Setup and mapping your playing space is remarkably easy and intuitive. - You can return any game you purchase and played that you didn't like. If you spent less than 2 hours playing the game, you can return it no questions asked. Makes picking a game risk free. Cons: - Bluetooth audio not supported, only standard audio jack out. - Battery Life may be an issue for gamers who want to play for 6-8 hrs straight. (Not an issue for me though.) - and it can be remedied by purchasing additional battery packs and mounting to headset. - Price of games in the store are a little higher than on other game platforms. Most games run between $10-$30 per game. The really good quality games are obviously at the higher end of that spectrum. - Selection of games in the store is significantly less than other platforms at this point, but there is still good games to choose from, and they are adding more all the time. - If you purchased games on other VR platforms, you will have to re-purchase them for this platform. - Casting (Letting others see on a screen what you are seeing on the headset) Has about a 2-3 second delay. It also is only supported via the Oculus phone app (video only no sound) or Chromecast V3 or higher for TVs (video & sound). For the price, this is a great VR experience for much less money and hassle than traditional PC game based VR headsets. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to get into VR gaming!

I have the Oculus CV1 and HTC Vive. The Quest is far superior in the fact that it is untethered. The freedom to move, turn, and do so quickly without worrying about wire management, is a huge feature. I will never go back to a wired headset. Controller tracking is very smooth and accurate. Battery life is a little over two hours. Graphics at the time of release were best in the market. Some games do take a while to load, like Arizona Sunshine. I wish the controllers had rechargeable batteries instead of AA. The controller batteries need replacing rather quickly. The Virtual Desktop allows screen mirroring with any computer. I look forward to receiving my Oculus 2 in a month.

I don't own a gaming PC but I love what VR is capable of. I contemplated building a new PC that can handle VR to get a VR headset that had a better resolution, but the cost was just too much (we're talking. a few thousand dollars if you don't already have a strong enough PC). This is very little money for a standalone unit IMHO. PC gamers will always say console graphics suck compare to PC, sure that may be true. But VR resolution isn't even the greatest even if you go the PC route! Graphics may be better, but the overall experience the oculus quest gives you in being wireless is worth the trade off. I can't imagine what the next generation of quest is going to bring!

My first VR experience was with the Oculus a little more than a year ago for a couple of days but I ended up returning due to lack of time and dizziness, I decided to go back and try it again with the Oculus Quest - Best decision ever! First of all, the graphics are good enough, the upgrade in definition helps on the sharpness. The non-tethered experience is the best even with limited spaces, however, is better to have at least a free space of 10x10ish feet. Game library is not as good as the tethered experience but it is expected due to the earliness of the project, every day more and more games are being ported to quest and new games too. Overall a good experience, would recommend 10/10

The Quest is possibly the biggest surprise to come in VR. It is a very effective wireless VR unit by itself, providing a number of experiences that you can take pretty much anywhere you want. Since it supports inside out tracking, you can use any arbitrary area or room as your play space. Don't use it outside though as it really isn't meant to be in the sunlight. The unit shines again when you connect a link cable to it and tether it to a PC as you can use it as a regular connected VR headset and take full advantage of the graphics card in your machine. Given the price tag, this is the best value in VR by far and I look forward to what the next revision of the quest will bring.

This equipment is fantastic. I have a PSVR , HTC Vive and Oculus Rift and Gear VR. Because it's mobile it's not gonna have the same graphics as console or PC VR but the portability and increased range of space you can use it in more than makes up for that. I use it for work with insite VR to review 3D models from Revit and Sketchup . Beat saber and Vader immortal is awesome on here too. I find myself using this more than my other headsets because I can use it anywhere and not limited to one room in a standing space . Definitely worth the price of admission and can't wait to see what future experience are added to this device . I am very happy with this purchase.
