• The rift S uses camera tracking which is integrated into the headset, no sensors required and also included oob

• The Rift S uses "Inside Out Tracking" meaning the Sensors are built into the headset and track from the actual device. No external sensors needed. If you plan on purchasing body trackers or a secondary device that would require tracking than you will need an "Outside In Tracking" VR Headset.
