“How long will the recorder stay on when there is no noise to record? If I turn my recorder on and know that there wil be nothing to record for up to 10 hours, will it still start recording when someone starts speaking?”

If the VCVA is activated the recorder will start once the sound picked up, even after long periods of time. I suggest using new battery in this situation.
