The recorder can use a function called Variable Control Voice Actuator (VCVA) that sets up the recorder to record only when sound is detected at a preset level. This extends recording time by not recording “dead air” or background noise that can use up memory. We would also suggest using an add-in tie-clip type microphone that can be clipped to a shirt collar or tie. This would help to better isolate the voice in a noisy enviroment.
