• No you can't overcharge the battery. The charger will stop charging when the battery of the TG-4 Digital Camera is fully charged.

• The charger in the camera does stop charging when the battery is charged. There is an LED that indicates when charging is done. This should prevent overcharging.

• Not sure. I know the charge light goes out when the battery is fully charged. The charge I used was the USB one from Olympus. You buy it separately.

• It stops charging when full. I've used the factory cable and charger, as well as, a battery specific charger from Best Buy. No problems here.
