• Simba75 thanks for your question. Actually the parts are a combination of both BPA-free plastic and metal depending on the actual part.

• It is mostly plastic with some metal. It's a strong juicer and I couldn't be happier with the way it works. Cleans up easily and goes through the dishwasher (upper shelf) .
