A:Answer I would go with the HP's spec sheet, this is a gen 1 and not 2, meaning max speed 5gb. The Best Buy listing has an error claiming the USB 3.1 is 10gb speed which make it gen 2, that also according to the spec sheet is gen 1 and 5gb max speed. I only found this out after buying the laptop but still think it is a great value especially if you buy it now on sale because it has the rx580 at 8gb which is slightly better the the gtx 1060.
