how do I add extra hard drives and optical drives null

Optical drive will have to be connected via USB. There is an additional slot to add an SSD or 3.5 HDD. You will need to purchase a SATA cable and screws if you install a 2.5 SSD.

This model has a tool-less chassis but if you add a 2.5" drive you will need a 3.5" adapter. As for optical drives, you would need to use an external DVD drive.
