Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can add a 2.5 SSD. I did add one and all you will need is the 2.5 SDD, 4 screws, and a SATA cable. Pull out the tool less drive holder mount the SSD and secure it with the screws. Purchase a SATA cable with one end that is L shaped when you close the case a regular SATA cable will bend due to it pressing on the glass panel. You can prevent that by buying an L shaped cable and that is all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you will need a 3.5" mounting plate / mounting bracket in order to mount a 2.5" SATA SSD in place. Samsung 970 M.2 drives are so much faster than SATA though, are you sure you don't want to upgrade the M.2 drive to something larger and get all that extra speed? (like >2000 MB/s vs 500 MB/s at most compared to SATA.)
