Thank you for reaching out. You can easily remove the cooler on this model, it is not secured in a way designed to be unremovable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The mounting bracket isn't glued to the back of the motherboard, but this mounting bracket is designed for heatsinks that thread into the bracket. The mounting bracket is two pieces super gorilla glued together which I painfully ripped apart so I can replace the heatsink with a push pin design heatsink. Probably not recommended, but I guess you can use 3 nuts to replace the mounting bracket if you don't want to rip apart the mounting bracket like I did.
