My BP785N inflatable cuff is hard and pre-formed, and comes in black. I think the inside is a curved metal band which lets it hold its cylindrical shape, but can be opened up to slip around your arm. This allows the user to put it on with one hand, unlike the soft cuff of a doctor's office which requires two hands.
