“I use this remote on a Sony TV with a DirecTV box. When I have Devices set to STB, I can change channels; to adjust the volume, I have to toggle Devices to TV and then back to STB to change channel. Is there any way around this toggling between devices?”

I also have a Sony Ty and Directv stb box. All I did was set up the activity buttons about 1/2 down as long as your in the activity mode switch that is set for your tv and Directv box it should control both
