I am an international student moving to the USA and do not have any active line with the listed service providers on the discounted rate. Am I still able to purchase this phone and go with say something like Mint Mobile and continue using this phone? null

This phone accepts buyer's own sim card. Therefore,  there should be no issues with using Mint Mobile service. It is a GSM Phone.

Yes. Mint used a digital Sim Card. But you can use this on any network as it is unlocked (maybe not Verizon cuz they r weird).
