A:AnswerAll that means is you are locking in service with one of the companies that offer it. You still have to go through the actual activation once you get it. Depending on the phone brand you may have to take it to the local specific store to have it done. Example.. I purchased a OnePlus Nord n30 5g, and I wasn't able to switch it to Verizon on line and had to take it to the store and have them physically do it. However you are still able to use your current phone until the physical switch is completed. Well worth the savings..
