You have to use the optical plug if you’re going to play the cd player through the Yamaha receiver, I had to run to Walmart to buy the optic plug!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would be sure to check where you have the RCA cables plugged into. Some receivers have RCA inputs for high definition (Super Audio) CD which would have five individual RCA inputs. If it is plugged in correctly to the red and white (left / Right) RCA inputs for a CD player or other analog input then check that the audio output is set to stereo or five channel stereo. Another suggestion is to connect the CD player via a TOS link cable. That will give you full surround audio if the disk was recorded with it.
