does this play with out an amplifier null

We have a receiver and it was compactable with it.

Hello --- The DXC390 doesn’t have a built-in amplification. So an amplifier or receiver would have to be connected for you to get sound from the player. The DXC390 supports the RCA analog(white/red)connections and the optical/coaxial connections for digital playback(PCM). Thank you Onkyo
