“I want to replace an old Fisher Studio 60 cd changer which has quit running. Is this Onkyo compatible with the Fisher amplifier CA-9635 that I am now using with my old changer? The old changer has the red/black cables and also a cable/ribbon.”

It should be fine. I have mine connected to an old Fisher receiver with male to male RCA cables (red and white). It took me about 5 minutes to get it working.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If your old reciever has a digital input or rca cable input (red &white) then you can use this Onkyo cd player. Coaxial is the only other option offered on the rear of the cd player.
