“My Sony player automatically goes into STANDBY MODE and shuts off when it is dormant for 30 minutes. Does this player have this "auto-shut off" feature? I want this feature when I go to sleep at night. OR - Do I physically turn it off manually every time?”

• no, it doesn't. I use the remote to go into standby mode.
