DECAPITATE!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the round push-in-pin type of connectors on my speaker wires, and I had to remove them before connecting the speaker wires to this Onkyo because the pins were too thick to fit into the connection ports. However, I have seen connectors that were more flat than round that would probably work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can but, If you can see the two wires you can decapitate and separate at least an 2 inches then strip the ends about 3/4 of an inch . Figuring out which is positive an negative will be tough. So if you connect them, one could be louder than the other. If this happens, you need to switch the wires on ONE of the speakers(reversing polarity). If they are coaxial, usually (not always) the one in the center is positive and you want at least 1.5 inches of insulation on it. Either way, never let the two wires touch!! Just make sure the impedance is 6 to 8 ohms. And remember If you over power a speaker you'll blow your amp or receiver. You can run it up to distortion, then back off the volume!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My house was prewired for in ceiling speakers, I put a plate on the wall to connect the conceled wires, and ran duplicate wires to the reciever. I dont think the jack cable will work.
