No. Mine are sitting on top of my front speakers and firing towards the ceiling. I believe my room is too large to get the true sound these are designed for, just like a vaulted ceiling would be. For the best sound for these speakers in a large room, or a room that has vaulted ceilings, you should probably mount them on the wall, near the ceiling, above your front speakers. This is just my opinion from my experience.

Please try again later.I'm considering trying the same thing ... however in my case, the previous owner's of my house mounted the surround speakers at about 12'-15' high ... so the surround sucks. the ceiling is 18'-21' ... so I'm thinking of putting these where the surround speakers are mounted, then dropping the surround speakers.
