Dolby Atmos is a new thrilling technology that allows up to 128 audio tracks plus associated spatial audio data for optimal, dynamic rendering to loudspeakers based on the (home) theater capabilities. Therefore, it is a technology that can be used for any type of surround sound, whether it's 3.1, 5.1 or 7.1. My experience with it has been extremely positive, it's like experiencing a movie theatre in your own living room. I have to be honest by saying that I also upgraded my subwoofer together with the new amp.
