• You can keep your answering machine if you like and it's more convenient or use the Ooma as an answering machine.

• Yes, your old answering machine will work, depending on how many rings you set it up for, you do get voicemail with the basic offering also

• Yes you're able to use your answering machine if you choose to. However the Uma device does have its own voicemail or answering service however I choose to use my answering machine in within my phone.
