There is no activation fee. You will have to pay what the monthly taxes on the service would otherwise be. Ooma also offers a premium service. Be careful, as you will be automatically enrolled unless you opt out,. There is a $39 plus tax charge if you want to port your existing phone number.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The activation fee is about $125.00 and then you only pay the local taxes each month. ooma is a very balky device. Sometimes the connection is anything but clear. At other time the system freezes up and you have to disconnect the cables, power cord etc., and wait for the system to reboot. This has happened about 15 times since I got ooma approx. 6 months ago. So the question is can you put up with the aggravation?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When I got the service a number of years ago, there was no charge for the initial porting of your existing phone number. I don't think there was an activation fee, either. I am not aware of a delay in connections. In my experience, the system is very stable and requires little bandwidth. It generally works even when my computer can't access the internet (don't ask me how that works, but it does).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, there is not.
