Only 2 cables - one is the power cord and the other is an ethernet cable that runs from the back of the Ooma base station to your internet modem/router. The handsets are wireless except for the power cords.

No, the phones connected wireless to the base. The base does have a phone jack, if what to connect other types a house phones.
