Depends on dinstance, but most likely yes

I would try and locate the Ooma wireless box near a window facing across the street to your other house to get the strongest signal. Remember, the Ooma phones do not use your house wireless modem, they connect thru the Ooma base unit. I've got the base unit in my kitchen and have three Ooma phones scattered around three floors and they seem to work just fine. Hope this helps.
