Yes. This is a VOIP phone. A basic Internet connection is required.

yes and if you find yourself paying a boatload for internet through xfinity/comcast, call and complain, I got faster speed for less money, I just had to agree to keep them for a year. Hopefully by then there will be some other provider in my area I can go to!
